Southbound I-5 Full Freeway Closure

UPCOMING FULL FREEWAY CLOSURES
Starting June 24 through June 26, crews will continue demolishing the portion of the old I-5/SR-170 connector that sits partially over southbound I-5. For the safety of motorists, this work will require three night closures of southbound I-5 between Osborne Street and Sheldon Street, as well as night closures of southbound I-5 on-ramps at Terra Bella Street and Osborne Street. Additionally, the westbound and eastbound SR-118 connectors to southbound I-5 will be closed. (Motorists traveling on eastbound and westbound SR-118 and not connecting to southbound I-5 will NOT be impacted.)
ONGOING PARTIAL FREEWAY (LANE) CLOSURES
Currently, there is also bridge demolition work occurring on the portion of the old I-5/SR-170 connector that sits outside of southbound I-5 and that requires night closures of up to three freeway lane of southbound I-5. During these partial freeway closures, traffic will be able to continue traveling on southbound I-5 without being detoured.
A NOTE ABOUT NOISE: You may hear construction noise during the closure(s), but it will not exceed levels allowed by state and federal regulations. You may also notice lighting and a temporary increase in traffic on local streets.
